Ingmar Bergman: The Seventh Seal, opening

I don't think I've watched a Bergman film all the way through for 20 years. It's not that I've got something better to do, but the effort required just seems beyond me. When you watch, say, Con Air, the stuff flows into your eyes, lingers for a few seconds in the brain, then its gone. It's a pleasantly passive experience. A Bergman film is otherwise.

I have suspected for a while your innate dilettantism, MM; a buoyant bladderwrack washed ashore on Ryde beach.

So that's why I've got these vesicles. Thank God. I thought they were boils.

where the annoying squares represent a syllabic diacritic for the preceding n.

I quite enjoyed Con Air. Too many explosions perhaps; certainly too many guns, but a warm, uplifiting moral message and some good cameos.

damn, a mistake, line two /vadʒ/ should be /vædʒ/, sorry about that.
