An open letter to 'The Economist'

I'm pleased to have subscribed for 90 quid. I think it's fair to say that we agree on almost nowt; but amongst the self-serving bourgeois media, yours is at least the best-written. Thank you for the editor-in-chief's favourite pieces: 

Diplomat's daughter: marginalized voice?
Unlike some billion peons, she could make her choice
A crime against humanity? The crime
Is not denouncing superstition's slime

I'm disappointed you no more allow comments below your articles. Some years ago that was a lively forum.

The memoir of Sir Edmund Trelawney Backhouse, 2nd Bt. (Backhouse /bækˈʌs/, which is appropriate) will be published this week , and a cracking good read it looks, even if it is a load of old cobblers.
